# Metadata Tool

Files generated by Ember contain embedded IMU data which may be viewed and exported. Select the **Metadata** tool, click **Load metadata** and wait for the progress bar to complete.

Accelerometer and gyroscope data can be viewed by enabling the appropriate chart **(Accel, Gyro)**. The horizontal axis of these charts is in frames, with zero representing the current frame being viewed. Scaling can be changed using the appropriate sliders.

For the accelerometer chart, relative to the camera, the x axis is pointing forward in the direction of the lens, the y axis to the right and the z axis vertically down. For the gyroscope chart, r (roll) is clockwise rotation around the x axis, p (pitch) is clockwise rotation around the y axis and y (yaw) is clockwise rotation around the z axis.
